Overview of Geographical Information System
GIS (geographical information system) is a tool or system for
collecting, analysing, manipulating and managing data. It helps to combine the
different types of data which mean spatial and non-spatial data. GIS can able
to show different kinds of information in a single map (building, street,
vegetation, etc). It is more helpful for the people who need to know about the
earth's spatial data. GIS maps can be used to exhibit data about numbers and
density. GIS can be involved in different fields like meteorology, hydrology,
utility, urban infrastructure, etc.
